Spring Sports Update March 30, 2020
March 30, 2020 Update:
The Board of Directors met on March 30th to determine that the Spring season will begin no earlier than May 4th and will be completed by June 27th, with consideration of June 28th for weather and/or facility needs.

The Board put forth a request to the TMC to submit a tournament structure recommendation(s) to the Board by April 9, 2020. The Board will meet at a later date, not yet determined, to review.
MIAA Office Personnel Availability
March 24, 2020
The Franklin Office is open for service to our membership and is working remotely through April 7th. Members, you may contact the appropriate staff member with your questions. Staff contact information is found in members only. Re-evaluation of the office status will occur following any Governor's orders in regards to "Non-Essential Businesses to Cease In-Person Operations."
MIAA Meetings Announcement March 16, 2020

In light of the restrictions mandated by Governor Baker on March 15, 2020, and in our efforts to protect the health and safety of our membership and staff, the following collaborative decisions about MSAA and MIAA meetings and events will be implemented immediately:
All MSAA Professional Development Workshops are cancelled through April 10, 2020.
Your schools will not be billed for the workshops, and if you have paid in advance by check or credit card, your payment will be refunded.
MSAA Committee meetings are either cancelled, postponed or will run remotely. The MSAA liaison/support person will communicate this information to each committee.
The MIAA/MSAA Mental Health Summit (4/15) is cancelled.
The following MIAA events are cancelled: Wellness Educator Showcase (3/20); Annual Meeting (4/3); Faces of Addiction Workshop (4/8).

We continue to monitor state and national communications about the COVID-19 pandemic. We will provide updates of new information related to Association matters when made available.
There is an MIAA Board of Director’s phone call this afternoon to discuss the status of spring sports. An update of results from this phone call will be provided.
